HOW TO TURN-AROUND DEPRESSION

   More often than not, we have cases where depression leads people to do the unimaginable. Individuals tend to lean on the side of such excuse and let themselves down, hiding under the shadow cast by depressive thoughts and actions towards them. 
   We all have things that make us happy, people that seem to be our strength when all hope is lost, they seem to be a core part of our happiness scheme, then the statement "I can't live without you comes to mind". What then happens when such things turn-around and become a source of depressive thoughts, or turn out to be the last memory you want to think of?
   Even though superhumans exist no more, there are countless ways to turn around your depression and give your story a happy ending. Moreover, happiness should be a top priority every time you wake up in the morning and set out for your daily routines, with that in mind, ways to be and remain happy should be checked. Below are few ways I personally think you can turn-around depression and live a happy life.

  • TRY SLEEPING: So many times depression is caused by stress and accumulated fatigue, which in turn affect our state of mind and well-being, in this case having time to rest and clear out the stress is vital. For me, this is probably the most crucial antidote to solving depression and stress related issues, after going through the rigors of the day, or perhaps disappointed by something or someone, I tried sleeping it off and take the load off my mind, if not totally but to the barest minimum.


  • TAKE A WALK: A lot of times we underestimate the power of exercising your body through a walk in the park or probably through the lawn at night, with street lights all shining and little noise of the cars heard. I do this every day, taking a walk from my home through the neighborhood streets and meditating alone, with breeze blowing and mindset freed, it gives away a lot of stress on your mind.




  • CONNECT WITH FREINDS: More or less with depression comes boredom, you feel all alone from within, confined to your own thought and corners. Having a little chat with a friend could go a long way in freeing up the load on your mind, do it routinely and share with them the burden, along the line they put smiles on your face, may be due to a long forgotten joke, and this and many more ease you out of your heavy thought.

  • HAVE A JOURNAL: This happens to me, and trust me one of the best ways to get out of boredom or a depressed mood is to pen it down in a journal. Write them out, your wounds, your cries, your thoughts, and feelings, be it when you are the happiest or saddest, give your pen the chance to help you through it. It worked for me, that's why I could be able to turn my boredom to creating a website and having a blog, so why not give it a trial.
  • EXERCISE: Just like taking a walk, hitting the gym, or trying out some exercise on a routine has been said to have a huge impact on uplifting individuals body and soul. You tend to believe in yourself more, and gradually let loose of the burden or stress on your mind.
  • FORGIVE AND MOVE ON: Moreover, there is always a cause for something, so whatever caused you to be moody, or depressed, be it someone or something, you have to let them go and move on with your life. The only constant thing in life is change, people go and come, things change and evolve, so try not to hold on to something or someone that doesn't worth holding on to, make a choice and set yourself free.

 So many young people and even adult across the globe suffer from one or two related issues with boredom and depression, there is more to life than being bored, and as hard as life could be, love conquers, and with love comes eternal happiness, so cheer up and be happy.
