THE COWARD SYSTEM

"Only the dreamer,

   As the popular saying goes, "life itself isn't fair", you struggle to survive, and once, it was the survival of the fittest but now its the survival of the richest. We live in a world of too many unraveled

mysteries, unanswered questions, in a world that place peace and happiness the farthest and move closer poverty and its vices. People due to long standing wretchedness and hardship tend to believe in a life of risk and pain as the way forward. Parents tend to teach their kids, the hard way of making it, and preach to them 'you have to move, or be moved', this makes the child grow with a mentality of success by any means, legal or illegal, as far as it ends their suffering.

    Millions of youth, I mean starting from age 10+ are being exposed to both the good side of life and its harsh reality, they are made to make a choice at an early age of their childhood. Parents who work for monthly earnings live and feed on hope, the hope that might be postponed by their fat-belly bosses if they so wish. This makes way for financial organizations to increase and firm their grip on the surviving hope of the masses, through a large sum of loans at the expense of the people's peaceful mindset. Moreover, who doesn't nowadays, the most successful business thrives on fat loans and the most beautiful houses banks on large mortgages, then what about the less privileged?

    Money is the king of our thoughts this day, it rules and can't be overruled, nowadays success banks on cash flow to make it to the victory table, while failure goes down the drain with a lack of financial backbone. Thousands of youth are drop-outs due to fat tuition fees demanded by the so called educational institutions, learning has become the most expensive treasure to behold. Perhaps it paves way for a successful drop-out to lash out on the purpose of schooling since, in the end, money is what we all crave.

    May be statistically we should be afraid of what the future holds for the youth whom we tagged as the leaders of tomorrow but incapacitate them from showing their leadership skills. There are few countries taking the bold step of appointing a vibrant and future-thinking youth into strong decision-making positions and backing them fully in other to achieve a common goal, rather than having them as a well dressed political thug in arm chairs and seeing them showcase their political immaturity, either by throwing punches at each other on live national televised cameras, or blatantly refusing to pass a future-gaining bill at the expense of their already fat purse.

    This should stop, year after year the chance of seeing a future that is as bright as 1960 is all but gone. A year where hope was still a strong rope to rest on, where kids are really happy to learn in other to rule just like their human-hearted leaders do, where education was the strongest and the best legacy a father could give his children at the expense of no quid. In Africa, Latin America, South America, Asia and some parts of Europe, this has become a norm, kids born into this mess tend to believe this is how life is and this is how it will be. That without illegal, you can't be legal.

 absolutely"

   "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts, absolutely", this at least explains why our so called leaders-turn-rulers finds it hard to relinquish power to the next generation. Imagine a 70years old grandpa as the president of a nation inhabited mostly by the youth of wide minds and dreams, and tasked to carry out decision making on the nation's future, there goes the question, whose future? the future he wouldn't be part of, a dream he knows nothing about? well, the only decision he would make perfectly is for the dying future of his peers, which turns out to be immediate. Only the dreamer, knows the details of his nightmares.

   We live in a system not designed for our immediate growth or impact, but our patronization during election times, a system meant to feed and feed well the corrupt masses and suffer the few good lads who go against its vices. Perhaps we didn't design the system, we met it already designed, are we not fools to just follow? Should there be a change of thinking or system of doing? Thinking about the poor kids on the street, with little or no hope at all, there are few chances of them making it to the already secured round-table by the saucy rich kid who by default has no crime.

    I think it's high time we call for a change in thinking, a change in doing, a change for a new ruling way and dump the coward system who fears the rich and class citizens of a nation with millions of poor and classless people. 'Our Mumu Don Do', and yes it's time for the coward youths to stand and be counted or remain a part of the coward ruling system that has no shame. Believing is just the first step, thousands of other steps lie ahead.
